Unless you're stunningly attractive, dating websites can be fairly hit and miss.
If you *are* stunningly attractive, then you're going to get more attention than you ever wished for.
Common mistakes:
Often candidates will fill out the forms fairly blandly, and it makes for a generic profile.
Photos are taken in poor light and with smartphones.
People do not read their own profile from the view of a potential suitor
Your profile does not have to a verbose essay, but it has to look different for the thousands of other profiles.
If you you are creative, or humorous, or intelligent then go wild with placing 'hooks' that will catch the eye of the right person.
Of course, if you're looking for a more casual liaison, you do not need to put in as much effort into your profile.
A lot of people will list all the criteria their potential dates must match. Don't be that person.
It makes you look like someone who is narrow minded, unadventurous and unwilling to try new things.
That said, make sure you have some alignment with your core values - don't list handgliding as something you'd like to try just because it makes you sound bold and daring, because you're going to find that someone will take you handgliding on the first date.
From your profile, you've indicated a preference for a site catering for people with Aspergers. If this is because you have Aspergers, save yourself a lot of grief and mention it in your profile.
It will forewarn any potential dates, who may still go a date with you, and avoid any embarrassing situations for both of you.
I've written a quick limerick below, I know it's pretty lame, but it's an example to give you an idea of how to stand out from the others.
Pleased to meet you, I'm Courtney
Profile is on here for you to court me
If you're tall, white and fit,
And have a razor sharp wit,
Message me ASAP and you've caught me !
