I have a 01 crown victoria and want to know if there was a cam upgrade for it?

Wanted to get a bit more power out of it. Also planned on aftermarket headers, cold air intake , and peoformance exhaust. I heard a high flow exhaust increases fuel mileage but would a slightly big cam increase or decrease the mpg????

There are cam upgrades for about every engine ever made. Cold air intake has nothing to do with power. It has been proven many times that they are just a waste of money. If you got a performance cam, it would not change the mileage much unless you get on it.

Since you have SOHC engine, you're going to need two cams. And cam selection is important here because, the Crown Vic is a porker, and the 2 valve 4.6L doesn't have variable valve timing. If you go too aggressive on the cam selection, you'll lose bottom end torque which combine with the weight of the car and the low stall torque converter will render the car gutless in normal driving.
