What is the total dollar amount dividend payments must equal to be reported to the IRS for foreign holders?

If a non-US citizen lives in America and they get income from stock dividends what is the minimum amount it has to be before it must be declared on taxes?

All dividend income whether the amounts are received are else reinvested you would still be required to report the amounts correctly and completely on your 1040 FIT return for that past tax year.

When the taxpayer does receive the 1099-DIV then the IRS also does receive a copy of that same 1099-DIV and yes the amounts do have to be correctly reported on you 1040 FIT return for that past tax year each year that the amounts are credited to your account in for that purpose.

Hope that you find the above enclosed information useful. 05/15/2014

All dividend income must be "declared." It is reported directly to IRS by the company or brokerage.
