Should I book cruise through Canival?

Hi, I'm interested in booking a Caribbean Carnival Cruise asap for my 25th birthday in January 2015 but this is my first cruise and I'm not sure if I should book it directly through carnival or a travel agent.

I did some research so I already know my destination & what ship I'd like to go on...& the date I'd like to travel. I'd just like to know which booking option is better, better deals, cheaper etc???Carnival or a booking agent?

Ms Sharon is right... CruiseCompete.com is a great resource to find competing deals on the cruise you are interested in.

Also... AllThingsCruise.com has many reviews and resources as well.

Do your homework... and you will have a wonderful trip!

To get the best deal, you need to shop around. Try a site at:

    http://www.cruisecompete.com/

Here you pick a cruise, then agents compete to offer you the best deal.

    Good luck!

If you already know what cruise you want then just book through Carnival. A travel agent (or another cruise website) can not give you a better price than Carnival, since they are the ones who set the prices. Also if you book through them and you see the price go down, you can calll and get the better price.

If you know what you want do it through Carnival. By calling or online. If you call them and they're nice sometimes they'll give you free upgrades. It's happened a couple times to my family. Travel agents basically just do it for you. They don't get any deals for you. My family tried a travel agent once and it was a waste of time cause they do exactly what you can do yourself at home.
