Why don't banks and credit card companies get in trouble?

They are responsible for my personal information. They don't cover you 100% and the little they help you with takes years to get taken care of?

They make it my responsibility to find all my problems and I have to pay a lawyer to get some of the information that I'm not allowed to get.

What are you talking about, what happened? There is no question here

Generally if fraud happens on your account you can get it refunded up to 100%. The only time you can't is if you wait a few years and then say something. You aren't being very specific so no one here knows what you are talking about.

You're right they do get away with a lot.

They aren't going to do what they don't have to do.

You need to write to your representatives in congress and tell them you want the banks to be accountable for their actions and you want better access to your own information.

I know people will say there are too many laws already, but is seems consumer protections in these areas aren't working how things are setup now.
