She did not get 70 Million. That's a Christie number.......and that's the Whole point.

He's lying and juggling numbers, and she's saying, she didn't get that amount........and now she's telling the truth about WHY she didn't get the funds that were due her.

The 70 million figure is NOT from Sandy relief funds..........it's number juggling. Her district was DEVASTATED..........and she only got some piddling amount.

Mayor Zimmer has not changed her stand. Like many New Jersey Democrats she admired Governor Christie for making changes she believed were needed for the good of the state. And she still thinks those changes (such as pension and education reforms) are good and she supports them.

The problem, as she explains, is that in her city of Hoboken there is an area of knocked down buildings that needs to be redeveloped. For whatever reason Governor Christie supports the Rockerfeller Group, a private enterprise and she has been told by administration officials that either she supports the plan or Hoboken will be denied money to recover from Hurricane Sandy. She refused to support the Rockerfeller plan because she believes it is not good for Hoboken. Now the Christie Administration has denied Hoboken money allocated for recovery from Sandy.

Hoboken is built on a very low area on the bank of the Hudson River. During Hurricane Sandy 80 per cent of Hoboken was under water. Massive amounts of aid are still needed to recover and Mayor Zimmer is fighting to get the aid that the Federal Government has allocated for recovery.

Mayor Zimmer has admitted she really should have spoken up sooner. However, she had been threatened and feared if she dared to things would be even worse for her city.

    From a Conservative Libertarian:

This isn't democrat chicanery, it's a valid investigation of possible corruption.

It doesn't matter if it's 'Bridgegate' or the IRS, corruption everywhere needs to be investigated and punished.

Our representatives MUST be held to a higher standard.
