High pitch beep coming from samsung tv?
I have a samsung tv that's over 10 years old. Recently it has been making a high pitch beeping sound. It's either constant or sporadic and only occurs when the tv is on. Other than that there is no problems with the tv. What could be causing this and is this a sign of more issues to come?

I am sure it must be an older set with a cathode ray tube display. It sounds like a high voltage arcing problem. Quite possibly the fly back transformer has an internal leakage and the high voltage (around 23,000 volts) is arcing. Sounds like it is time for a new set.
