Why is the standard of education in American schools so low?

An American High school graduate has the educational level of a year 8-9 in schools in Britain, Israel, Japan and Australia. A Bachelor degree from MOST Us universities is the equivalent of a High school graduate from schools in other countries. A Masters degree from most university is the equivalent of a first year diploma at many universities in other countries. A PhD from many American universities is the equivalent of a Bachelors degree from universities in other countries.
WHY???

All you have to do is  read  some of the  questions on this site.  The  people can't spell,  (spell check is free) they can't form a sentence grammatically correct.  They can't conjugate a verb....they don't know when to use a contraction.  They don't know the difference between   Your and You're.....or when to use which.  They  basically know nothing.  Who is there to teach them???  They can't learn it  w/o a good teacher....altho if they would  do a bit of reading   SOME of it would  get thru,  IF they want it to.  They say things like  EXCAPE.....even tho they can clearly see how it is spelled.

So, as I see it,   the teaching system is to blame.  They pass them even tho they are  not up to their level....cannot pass the tests...if there are any.  They text msgs  so learn shortcuts to words....doesn't help.  I am ashamed of what we are  putting out there.  Kids who can't write a simple  paragraph.

Girls whose main concern is  WHEN IS MY PERIOD COMING????   What the hell is the difference?  The males  ask  will my penis get larger,  is this large enough??    That's all they want to talk about, and  lewd comments about what their boyfriends did to them  last nite.....I figure they have to ask someone about their  physical health, so I don't mind  answering some of the questions, but some of them make  me  cringe...that they are even typing the words for everyone to see.   No such thing as modesty or privacy anymore.

America the great.  HA.   I would love to leave it.

I do not agree.
Some educational systems have depth but the coverage could be small
Some of them are shallow with wide coverage.
In reality the volume remains more or less the same.

We have really low standards in America...it makes me sad sometimes but then I'll eat Cheetos and watch TV then I'll forget about it.
