Help with visit to Andorra?

I am currently in France near Limoux and thought about a day trip to Andorra. After reading some trip reports on Trip Advisor about the narrow and winding roads and the difficulty in finding a park at the attractions I am having second thoughts. Has anyone been there? I am a bit concerned about the road conditions as I am used to driving on the left (Australia). I am able to drive around French roads ok but very narrow roads can be difficult.

Thousands of normal vehicles drive regularly through Andorra either to or from Spain without mishap. I have driven to Andorra with a people carrier without any problems. Roads are not that narrow and coaches and buses manage them since there is no train or airport facilities, but driving an unfamiliar vehicle on a side of the road you are unaccustomed to round steep bends is stomach churning in such a mountainous area. If you feel insecure with your driving or with a vehicle that you are not totally comfortable with, I would not recommend it, especially if the first snows are on the way which can happen at this time of the year.

hi pete o ...so..your at limoux ....make sure you go to esperaza ..just down the road from you ..heading towards qillian ..great dinosaur musem there ...i have a home near esperaza ..up the mountains ..little place called granes ...andorra worth a visit ? yes really worth it ..so drive to quillian ..at first set of traffic lights .just over the river bridge ..turn right ...not the very sharp right turn ..but the one going over the train tracks ...go to top of hill ...at top of hill turn left ..this will lead you to andorra ...its a little windy ..but trust me the drive is well worth the effort ...andorra is a tax free haven so you get some great shops ...plenty of parking places ..so stop being a wimp ..live a bit!
