I agree with Lucas on the first two points.

    1. Get out of the way.

    2. Check the kick with your shin.

    3. Time a power punch. When he is kicking, he is on one leg. If you can time your power punch right, you'll knock him on his butt.

It depends on which sweep kick you are talking about, I will assume you mean one like this.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GF2EQmuyA4M

but as you can see this is done as a counter so it would be hard to stop.

in any case, Here are a couple defenses for when some one kicks you,

    1. Evade, Just get out of the way.

    2. Cover, block the kick with your shin. Better yet, your knee.

3, Teep or foot jab as seen here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Tr834vTYN8

there is a lot of flaws, and it would take me a book for me to write them all down, for starters krav maga i would not claim is the best for self defense, many people that teach it add other styles because of what it lacks karate there are a lot of full contact dojo's and it doesn't have poor defense against boxing, savate doesnt is not unpredictable combos, if you make this statement about one then you need to make it about all. the same is true for the tough training, this depends on the instructor not the style. most of the pros you state about savate is true for most other style mauy thai again unpredictable is not a pro or a con, and has nothing to do with a style before you write your book try training in each style for 25 or 30 yrs you will have a good understanding of them at that point. one of my instructors wrote a book on the mechanics of martial arts for 6 different styles of karate. the book had 6 authors, not one. Full contact depends on the instructor not the style, ive see savate and muay thai gyms that were not full contact

    - you either could anticipate the attack and lift your leg up at an angle to evade the sweep

    or

    - put the opposite leg to the back of your front leg to make a cross

I can't really explain the second solution that well so I am just going to give you a youtube link that will clear everything up.
