What are some themes for a teenage girl's room?

I am not a girly girl. I just want to know what colour schemes are nice and what DIY projects can I incorporate into a room.

I would also like some theme ideas.

    I'm a guy. But I like my sisters theme. It's a greyish purple and a champaign gold. Not too firmly but it accents nicely. She has it looking very professional. The whole bit. Globe, encyclopedias. Maps. It looks very intelligent and sophisticated and it's not cliche. It's interesting. But I don't know you so I don't know what you're into. I hope this was a somewhat helpful idea. I'm trying to be a good person. :/ I'm sorry if this disappoints you...

    I am almost 14 and for my birthday I am going to do my room a Travel kind of theme I bought this quilt that says hello in all different languages and has a picture of a famous landmark from that place next to it it might be a cool idea for u
