What is the best world of Warcraft class for ranged dps?

It it easy to play and you don't have to switch among the mobs to spell DoT skills frequently like Warlock and Priest do while you can deal pretty high DPS. I play frost mage and when in raid finder I could play with a single hand while my DPS rating could be in top five.

You didn't mention if you prefer horde or alliance so I'll answer based on horde. Depends on how you like to play ranged dps. Hunters rarely die as their pets take most attacks from mobs. You also with talents have the options for additional help with dire pet and stampede. However other faction attacks simply ignore your pet and kill you easily. Warlocks are about the nastiest ranged dps if you're willing to do the work and run randoms and senarions and gear your toon. It's not easy taking on a 90 warlock that is properly geared. Same with a mage. Between rune of power and mirros an arcance mage is pretty tough.

Ignore the advice on a paladin - they are not ranged dps - they are in your face melee like the rogue and warrior. You can have up to 10 players on each realm so try them out. You can get to lvl 10 in under half an hour.

Try a troll hunter and that guy obvously dont know what hes talking about wow didnt come out in 1984

I say that hunters are because as long as growl is active pets can keep the enemy from attacking them just deactivate it while in dungeons because that's what the tanks role is.
