Need some advice about Fuel Injection and cold weather?
I have a 2005 Suzuki GSXR 750 that I bought recently, I just wanted any advice from anyone who owns one or has owned one, or anyone really who has a fuel injected bike and lives where it gets cold,
Recently when it was cold overnight the next morning I tried to start it but basically what happened is when I pushed the starter button it started for a second then stopped, that happened three times and I let it sit for a few minutes and then it started, when possible I let it sit out in the sun for about an hour before I start it but if I have to leave early or if its overcast that's not an option, its always covered with a bike cover and in a carport but it can get down to around zero degrees celsius overnight where I live, the battery is only 6 months old so its not that,
So basically anyone with any advice about fuel injection and cold weather or any tips on how to avoid this in the future would be greatly appreciated.

Like all injection systems the coolant temperature sensor determines the injection pulse width and so the fuel quantity on start up.
So make sure the coolant is the right mix of anti freeze/water,check or renew the air filter and if no change then it's either find some one with an ocilliscope to see the signal trace pattern or just buy/fit a new CTS.
It is possible to fit a resistor in line to the CTS but this is a bit invloved to work out which one.

The whirring noise would be the starter motor spinning but now not enticing so i might attempt to bump start it first. Additionally it is viable that the cambelt has damaged and so simplest the crank is spinning so see if that you can get the cambelt cover off and assess that the belt is ok.
