How can they charge the Cleveland Rapist with Murder?

How can Castro be charged with murder - that's the guy who imprisoned three women for ten years. He terminated one woman's pregnancies perhaps five times. Why is the fetus considered to be a human if he kills it but it is not considered to be a human if the mother does it? Why? I don't get it.

The 2nd link defines Ohio's aggravated murder terminology. I think it comes down to "unlawful termination" of a pregnancy. It is hypocritical, morally.

It is not murder, they were returned alive.

Pursue a murder charge and they're going to find bodies on the side of the road of other victims that have been missing.

If others have people, they need to be released.

Why not give him life for kidnapping, or even the death penalty. Why go for the icing on the cake when that is the harder aspect to prove? Certainly no one doubts he kidnapped them, so let's throw a murder charge on top to confuse the jury. Castro will be free and partying in a few years.

That's a very gray area. A child conceived by rape is injured in the womb.... Wow, hard question. I say life in prison at least...

The intent of the woman in question defines the statute.

    Edit: Triste is correct.

So, you don't understand the difference between suicide and murder either?

    ORC 2903.01 (A)... and then see 2929.02 (A).

EDIT: Don't thumb me down, it's the law of our state.
