Why are some /girls/women nervous around good looking guys?

Ha ha I'm one of those girls! I've never really thought of why I feel that way. I suppose it's because I don't have a very good body image so I feel ugly compared to an attractive guy. Aside from that, I think that some of it comes from a feeling that attractive guys are harder to get (which is true since ALL the ladies want one!) so you feel a need to impress and get nervous because of the pressure. And girls can get the butterflies in their stomach because he's so dreamy, which often make a girl seem nervous. :)

I like your question because this is somethjng both genders can relate to. Personally, I sudden can't think when I see a drop dead gorgeous guy. the anxiety of the excitment or feeling like I need to push myself to say something while i can't think makes me nervous. Or other times, I get nervous because i think I will say something silly before I open my mouth.

she may like you i sometimes do that and usually my friends shout his name and i blush so maybe react on how her friends are acting towards you and who was she talking about when she said 'who is that?' sorry i did not understand that bit & does she stare at you alot? if yes then she is into you but shes nervous and if not then she might be playing hard to get , next time you talk to her ask her about her boyfriend and if she likes you there is nothing wrong with asking her that and even if she doesnt dont ignore her still be friends

I guess or me it is that I blush around good looking people, because I start to think of them in a romantic or sexual way and then I am nervous hoping that I don't make it obvious that I'm thinking that way though. When I was younger it used to be that I wanted them to like me so I would make sure that I didn't make a fool of myself. But, now that I am in a committed relationship I dont care what they think of me. If I embarass myself, its ok.

I think it's just the possibility that if you say something stupid they might hate you forever (sounds idiotic but it's how our minds work) and you'd rather sound like a dunce.

I have the same problem sometimes I think a girl is looking at me but I doubt it or if it is its cause I dd something weird? Idk I'm not attractive but the out of my leagues this is kinda true

because we may think he's so hot he maybe out of our league or we just don't know how to act around them if we might say something weird. just smile and crack some jokes that way we don't tense up.
