My boyfriend has never celebrated valentines day with his past girlfriend but wants to celebrate it with me?

Right, my boyfriend has never ever celebrated valentines day. We got together on the 10th feb 2012 but he didn't celebrate it then because he didnt know about it. This year he told me he wants to celebrate it with me but he doesn't know how I keep telling him how but he gets confused. I tell him " valentines day is were you be all romantic, show each other love and spend a bit of money on the person you love or make something for them" he goes but what do I buy? I told him what he could buy. But every night he asks me what do I want for valentines day. I told him that I want you to prove to me that you love me and he goes yeh but what else? I know he may sound really stupid but he's never celebrated it before can anyone help me out here? :S

I'm not being controlling he just wants me to help him with what he does because he's scared he'll buy something I don't like tbh I'd accept anything from him no matter hat it was

You sound as if you are making a huge deal about something which should be spontaneous. Sounds to me as if you have hassled this poor guy so much he has no idea what to do for fear he doesn't get it right. Stop being so controlling and let him be himself. If you dont like him when he is being himself he is not the man for you.
