Using vinegar for laundry. Help!?

I use fleece bedding for my guinea pigs and I read that a way to disinfect the fleece (and remove odors) was to add a half cup of vinegar to the washing machine during the rinse cycle. However, I live in an apartment with on-site laundry facility. The washing machines won't allow you to open the lid without stopping the entire cycle and (after paying again) the machines will restart at the very beginning.

Is it okay to add vinegar to my laundry at the very beginning? Can I use it with my regular detergent?

Update:

Cedar bedding increases the risk of URIs, which are very dangerous for little piggies. I'm sticking with fleece, thanks.

certain. It receives outfits merely as sparkling as detergents, prices a fragment of the fee of detergents, and is secure and all organic. I switched over when I took my sparkling outfits out of the dryer to locate mysterious moist searching stains on all of them. I requested the guy operating at ten laundromat what they were, and he suggested "o no longer some thing to be hectic about, in certain circumstances the chemical compounds leech out of the dryer sheets, merely re wash them and they are going to be high quality". Yup, i do not even use body wash or lotion because i do not favor man made chemical compounds on my skin. It were given me wondering about what ought to proceed to be on my outfits that i could not see. and that i havent used dryer sheets for the reason that then both. i found my outfits got here out no more advantageous staticy or a lot less fluffy without them. only a waste of money. I also discovered that our outfits very last plenty longer utilizing baking soda and vinegar. I did some study, and positioned that detergents easily harm the fibers of outfits, making them more advantageous apt to tear or positioned on out faster. Baking soda and vinegar do not attempt this. supply it a attempt, you'd be plesantly shocked.
