"Inactive" vs. "closed" account?
When checking my credit score a while back, I noticed a retailer (Kohl's) on my credit reports that I hadn't shopped at for 4-5 years (I signed up for their card to take advantage of an initial % off purchase price and never shopped there again. This was my intent.) So when I called them and requested they close my account I was told that company policy dictates they do not "close" accounts but "inactivate" them. I told them I did not want it inactivated but CLOSED because it was coming up on my credit report (and continues to do so.) I was told "we can't do that. Besides what if you want to re-activate the account again?" If I ask a company to PERMANENTLY CLOSE my account, are they obligated to do so? If not, is there some law I can invoke to FORCE them to close it?

If there is no activity in the past 24 months. it does not effect your credit score at all. I believe the problem is that it cost the co money to close the account. I was a retail credit manager for 10 years and I had customers request to close the account. I always said put it in writing first. Once i got it I closed it. Then 2 years later they wanted to open the account and told them they have to fill out a new application and will be treated as a new account. I can't tell you how angry they got but those are rules. You can't win no matter how hard you try to satisfy a consumer.

nicely in case you want to get technical it is using the fact the origins of the be conscious are andswerien, andswerian, andswarian and andswaru all meaning to respond to. So the stored the w in place simply by fact it grow to be interior the unique spelling. I accept as true with you inspite of the undeniable fact that that's style of a stupid letter to be there simply by fact it serves no purpose, yet now that I even have grown conscious of spelling the be conscious that way i could no longer think of spelling it any different way. Anser =( Ansir =( answer =) It in basic terms would not seem suited misspelled. it is going to easily must be between the different words with silent letters that fairly do no longer must be there including.. fortress..silent t and handkerchief..silent d reliable question inspite of the undeniable fact that =)
