Connect ur LED/LCD/Plasma TV to the receiver with an HDMI v1.4 which supports Audio Return Channel. And make sure u connect ur DVD/Blu-ray to the receiver with another HDMI.

With this all the speakers or at least the speakers of the TV will work. If the speakers doesn't work, check the connections.

When u see TV channels, the audio return feature of HDMI will let the other speakers work which are connected to amplifier.

Your receiver comes with an owners manual that provide you with the proper instruction on making a connection. There is also a speakers set up and a volume control for each speakers either in the 5.1 or 7.1 set up. Your tv only has an optical audio output, there are no HDMI output on the tv. You connect an optical audio cable from the tv to the receiver for you to hear the tv program audio. Keep in mind that not all tv program have surround sound. You tv also has an owners manual that provides you the proper instruction for making connection. Hope this will help you out.

one thing for the tv speakers is that you may have to change a setting under the audio input on the tv to hdmi.

The bluray player my also have an audio menu that has to be change to 5.1 out.

The receiver may have a setting for pass trough audio that has to be turned on.

    hope this helps

Please elaborate "connecting all devices to this receiver". How are they connected and with what cables?

The bluray needs to be connected to the receivers HDMI "IN" and the TV to the receivers HDMI "OUT".

Kindly check out the volume first and then uninstall everything check out with the connection for the speakers and then try it again.
