Conch piercing concern?

I've had my conch pierced for 5 days now (as well as my helix on the same ear) and I've been cleaning it twice a day with salt water as I was instructed, yet as I clean my conch piercing its seeping a light yellow pus (what I assume it to be). The helix piercing isn't causing trouble though.. None of my other 7 ear piercings have done this, so is this normal?

Don't worry, I'd say this is not pus, just Lymph which is dead skin cells secreting from the wound. Its a sign of healing. Mine did it too and nearly 3 years later it's completely fine. Keep on with the salt soaks and everything should be fine. An infection will show signs such as, the area being hot to the touch, pain, redness, odd smells (Although if you can smell your ear you deserve a medal lol) and dark yellow or green discharge from the wound. White or yellow secretions are a sign of healing, so unless it turns dark yellow or green, you should be perfectly fine.

If you are concerned, just go to your piercer and ask them to have a look. They never have a problem with it and usually appreciate the follow up. I went the other day to ask mine a question about my navel piercing and to see if it's healing as it should.

I think you're fine but I know exactly what it's like to be worried about piercings (This is the 4th time I've had my navel because of infections and rejections so Im neurotic) so if you really are worried or need reassurance, just pay a visit to the piercer :)

Im sure you're ok but good luck anyway with the healing

That sounds pretty normal. Conch piercings are much more difficult to heal than helixes, so it makes sense that they're behaving differently. Just keep on with the salt water, but if after a few days you're still concerned, head back to your piercers for them to take a look at it.
