What carrier should I use for the iPhone and how much data should I purchase?

I'm hoping to purchase an iPhone around Christmas but I'm unsure what carrier to use...verizon, AT&T, or sprint? I live in a rural area in Michigan...which would work best?

My second question...how much data should I purchase for the month? I have wifi at my house and at school...so I would obviously use that for Internet access. But, there will obviously be times when I won't have access to wifi and will have to use data.

Hi, I think if you find that you will be using mobile data (3G or 4G) more than school or home wifi then consider getting around 3+ GB of data. Now if WiFi is available and your mobile data use will be moderate get less than 3 GB. Personaly 2GB of data is enough for me. One hour of HD video will use about 500 MB of data (1GB = 1000 MB) so base how much data you use on that information. Verizon has always had reliable service in rural areas and seems to have the best data share for individual plan. A few bucks less expensive than AT&T. And have more flexibility. If that makes sense. AT&T has good 4G speeds which the new iPhone 5 (will be released September 12th) will support. I dont think you have 4G at your town so Verizon will be better I think. However Sprint has good reliable service in rural areas too and offers unlimited data so you dont have to see how much you need. And its about $10 more expensive than AT&T and Verizons lowest data plans. So that will be good, but mobile data in rural areas is really slow but honestly you can only tell the difference if you live in the city cause Verizon and AT&T is at full speed. Look at all of their websites and find more info. Its a lot for me to tell you here. Look for coverage maps from all 3 companies in your area and see who has the best service and that will help you see what company to get, once you see that, you can either pick limited data with ATT or Verizon or Unlimited with Sprint.

    Hope this Helps!

Don't use t mobile, the service is no good anywhere and there constantly adding charges,

and there phones are no good

At&t is basically the same thing they are high on there prices and they don't have good service

Verizon is the only carrier I've used that works everywhere and my bill has stayed the same for the past year id recommend getting a unlimited data package so you don't have to worry about over using it or hidden charges, but if your looking for the fastest phones and best service for a good price id highly recommend Verizon and would highly discourage you to not go with t-mobile

and to get a unlimited data package

    good luck

Source(s): I had t-mobile for two years and my bill ranged from 100 to 400 when I switched to Verizon my bill stayed 55.95 unles I bought a app

the answer to ur question is definite it is going to artwork no longer employing information and purely wifi. yet additionally putting off the sim is an pointless difficulty. U would desire to pass to settings -everyday- community, and change off cellular information. this style it restricts all information to wifi.
