Good'day,Is "Les Hiddins" the "Bushtucker Man " still around recording T,V series or is he retired?

I was watching a program the other day here in the U.K. and "Les" was in it ,and he was as usual very good ,this program was made in 2008."Bushtucker Man " programs haven't been screened for ages here ,I was wondering had he gone "walkabout " !!

    I'm sure I heard, not so long ago, that Les Hiddins is doing a lot of work with Vietnam Veterans associations, especially helping those veterans with psychological problems. He certainly hasn't made a TV program in years, and the last in the Bush Tucker Man series was produced in the early 1990s, so I'm not sure what you were watching on TV.

    I met this bloke a few years ago, while I was working at Kiwirrkurri in the Gibson Desert. He was on his way through to the Tanami Desert, on the Tanami Track. All he was interested in doing was rubbishing Don Burke & his TV show - as they were in the same awards category & Burkie had recently scooped the pool.

    But, no, I haven't heard hide nor hair of him for a few years now. I think he is well & truly past his use by date in this country.

    I think he's running some retreat up the "top end" somewhere,,for Vietnam Vets....that was the last I heard of him anyway.
