How did they adapt Eastern religion to suit Greek systems?
Does anybody have any knowledge of this or could they point me to some sources with evidence of this happening?

Greek thought influenced Mahayana Buddhism via the Hellenistic kingdoms of Bactria and Sogdiana.Mahayana Buddhism sees Siddhartha Gautama as a god, Theravada Buddhism sees him as a man.
