Death falls in love (fable/story)?

For the life of me I cannot remember the name of this story. Its about Death (or a variation of so) who falls in love with a woman. I think he kidnaps her and takes her to his "realm". As time passes he ses that she is unhappy and he lets her go. Does the sound familiar to anyone?

In Greek mythology, Hades, the god of the underworld, fell in love with and kidnapped Persephone, the daughter of Demeter, the goddess of nature, the seasons, and fertility. When Demeter threatened to make it winter permanently, Zeus forced his brother Hades to return Persephone. However, she ate six seeds of a pomegranate while she was in the underworld, and thus must stay there one month for each seed she ate, or half the year. This explains the changing of the seasons; when Persephone is in the underworld it is fall and winter and when she returns it turns into spring and summer.

yes that was an ancient story from the greeks where hades the god of the underworld kidnapped persephone from her mother demeter because hades saw her one day fell in love and asked zeus to marry her knowing that demeter wouldnt allow it zeus instead helped kidnap her. demeter tried looking for her instead of tending to the land and drought and famine happened to the land, when she found out she threatned zeus that she was going to starve all the people of the land if he didnt help her. so zeus told hades to return the girl and hades gave the girl a fruit not knowing that if you eat the fruit of the underworld your cursed to live there for eturnity, in that zeus made an arrangement to let persephone stay with her mother six months out of the year and be queen of the damned for the other six months. thus creating the winter season killing crops six months out of the year. iknow i have alot of typing errors but whatever hope this helps
