My cat meows but it does not purr?

It meows whenever it sees me, pretty loud too. it loves being petted, like to stick close by my side, acts weir if i carry it. :P but it does not purr. not that you can hear anything. But if you put your hand on the side of him where his ribcage i suppose is, you definitely feel vibrations. whats up with that?

Some cats just don't purr, whether they are happy, or sad, or stressed, they just don't! Your kitty probably has his own ways of telling you he's happy. If she's purring, you should feel it most in his neck, where out vocal cords are. The vibrations you fell are probably her heart. Good luck!

Well he's got a very quiet purr box there. You can probably get it louder if you work at it though.
