Best places in Thailand?

I am planning a backpacking trip to Thailand but I need some ideas on where to go, and which places to avoid and are overrated. I am thinking of flying into Bangkok and from there going to southern part of the country to Malaysia and then Singapore. I really want to go to cities and sites that showcase the culture, as well as nature and wildlife, but places where I will feel generally safe. I am a 20 year old female. Thanks!

Off course in Bangkok you can sip up some typical Thai culture, from Bangkok you can also make a day trip to Ayutthaya, the old capital with many old ruins. Then maybe head down south with for example the Lomprayah High speed Catamaran to Koh Tao Island where you can do some diving, then head to Koh Phangan (Thong Nai Pan is a beatiful beach on a quiet part of the Island) from Koh Phangan head to Koh Samui where you can visit yje Ang Thong Marina National Park. From Koh Samui you could go to Khao Sok National park that has some stunning nature. Here you are also close to Phang Nga Bay.

From Phang Nga Bay you can go to Krabi which has beautiful beaches and amazing scenery. From Krabi you can go to Koh Phi Phi where the movie the Beach with Leonardo Di Caprio was filmed. From koh Phi Phi you can go to Koh Lanta and from there head south to Malaysia where you could make a stop at Penang which has a nice colonial architecture.

It depends on how much time you have, if you have enough time I would also try to visit the north of the country, Chiang Mai has some great culture and amazing nature.

Thailand in general is a safe country to travel in. You can book all trips at local travel agencies, they will normally include a pick up from your hotel. It is also possible to use the government buses which are cheaper, but you need to find the bus stations first.

In Bangkok, you could go sight seeig of all te palaces and landmarks as well as cruising in the chao-praya river for the night. Hua-hin and Pattaya has beautiful beaches, Phuket is good for snorkeling and enjoying all view and theirs other things like floats markets and good food. You should try street food. I don't think it's a good idea to travel through the southern part of Thailand which is raya, puttani and narathivath. There are terrorists problems there. But the rest of Thailand is safe. There're also old cities in ayudthaya and sukhothai which has old temples and ruins. For wildlife, I guess snorkeling, bird watching and islands in the gulf of Thailand. Hope it helps :)))

Experience the beauty of Thailand and visit the different places most especially in Koh TAo. If you love beaches and different water activities. Koh Tao island is definitely suit for you.
