Who owns the copyright to the names of My Little Pony characters?

Hasbro lost the copyright to the names of all the My Little Pony characters from the 80's (except for Applejack and Spike).

My question is: Who owns the copyrights?

The answer is not 'Hasbro', 'Lauren Faust', or anyone associated with G4/MLP:FiM.

Technically, you can't copyright a name: what Hasbro lost was the trademark registration for those names, presumably for failing to comply with the requirements of the US Patent and Trademark Office. (Which, incidentally, is why people who have registered their names as trademarks carry the R-in-a-circle symbol instead of the C.) It's not likely that one person or entity scooped them all up after the expiration, but USPTO provides a search facility for trademarks.
