Looking for rat breeder in Newcastle region?
My last boy rat died recently, and I'm totally against getting another rat from the local pet store. Im interested in getting a pair of same sex rats (prefer females, but will take 2 males so long as SAME sex), Would prefer not albino rats, but otherwise colouring does not matter. If you can vouch for the parents nature/personality that would be a great bonus.

For your best bet at finding a local breeder check out http://www.australianratforum.com/
It is an Aussie site for rat and mouse owners and fanciers, and there is a large number of local breeders listed on the site.
If you can't find any in Newcastle, then many of the breeders are willing to ship ratties (as it turns out, it is not really that expensive to fly them across the country)
If you are on Facebook, then also check out Ratstuff which is a group. It was started by Aussies although there are rat owners from all over the world on the group, but a lot of the breeders from Australian rat and mouse forum are in the group :)
