Am i stupid cos i have ADD?

You are NOT stupid, your brain just deals with information differently. Ask your dad to take you back to the DR. and he might give you some thing that may work better for YOU... God bless you!!

Listen up f@gg0t, I have ADD and Depression. Had them all my life. I have been taking medication for it since I was 5, and I am now 17. I was in the Gifted and Talented Program in 3rd & 4th grade in Texas, and aced the State Standardized test for reading/writing while in 3rd grade. I moved to Colorado, and since the beginning of middle school (6th grade) was 2 grade levels ahead in math (taking 8th grade math while in 6th grade). I made straight A's and B's until I hit high school and had to start dealing with all of the stupid bastards in cliques and hormonal problems and teachers assigning 8 hours of busywork for homework every day, but that is beside the point. I dropped out of High School during my Sophomore year because the wouldn't let me graduate early. I enrolled into my local community college the very next semester and started taking college level classes (not prerequisite high school classes), and they wouldn't let me take my GED because I was still only 16 at that time, and you had to be 17 to take it. Sooo, when I turned 17 I took my GED and scored in the top 1% of the entire country on it. And now I am taking College Trigonometry, English Composition 122, and General College Chemistry 111.

DONT YOU TELL ME THAT MEDICATION DOESNT ******* WORK! AND DONT YOU DARE LET ANYBODY TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE STUPID BECAUSE YOU HAVE ADD! That one medicine didnt work for you? Try another one damn it! I take Concerta (Adderal is the generic name for it) for my ADD, and the side effect of that is Depression, so I take Cymbalta to counteract the side effect. I have been on this medication for at least 5 years now, and I have never felt better. GET ON SOME DAMN MEDICINE AND CONCENTRATE!!!!

If you had a good teacher sweetie you would know you are not stupid. The add should be treated under a medical professional. But add doesn't make you stupid. My mother is a special Ed teacher and she works with like elementary kids, she would help you get better and better because she would know and others that you are smart and can normal like the others. I'm feel bad about your father he is wrong.

absolutely not!! you do thing in a sdifferent way. i would go to the doctor and explain how the medication you take gives you insommia they can readjust your meds to alleviate this. you will find you be able to stay on task and feel alot better about yourself!! take care!!

ADD is a mental condition whereby you can't focus on the task at hand. There are pills to make you focus.

you're not stupid, you just have a different brain that causes you to not be able to focus. Once focused, the sky's the limit

Stupidty is the lack of knowledge and understanfing involved to do something. Being ADD just means you do this slower but you still can do.it
