rear transmission seal is leaking? 1988 Silverado?

lowered the truck with 2/4 drop and it began leaking tranny fluid. Changed seal twice, but only stops leak for a few days. Anyone know how I can fix this?

    you need to shorten the drive shaft. its too long after lowering it and the yoke is probably eating the seal up. just a guess without lookin at it

    Good answer James and he is 100% correct... Also, while your shortening your driveshaft, you might want to also check your pinion angle... Very important as well unless you like replacing u joints !!!

    probably will also have to change the extension housing bushing that the yoke rides on too since your probably doing damage to that too
