FICA tax on the 1040 form?

If my employer withheld tax for FICA tax, is there anywhere this should be reported on the 1040 form.

Thanks for your help!

No, you don't put it on your 1040.

Your employer is required to withhold FICA if you are a regular employee and you get a W-2 at the end of the year. It is his responsibility to report it to the government when he does his quarterly payroll taxes.

  • FICA tax is better known as Social Security tax. It is not reported on your 1040 income tax return.

while you're on an F1 visa, you're a non-resident and would opt to checklist between the 1040NR varieties, now no longer the 1040 varieties. a whilst interior the U. S. on a student visa does not count type sort interior the direction of the significant presence attempt, so which you have 0 days. basically days interior the U. S. on a paintings-form visa counts interior the direction of the presence attempt.

    NOPE

It shows up on your w-2, which you attach to your tax return (or enter the info by computer)

And the IRS receives the same info from your employer

Not unless you earned over $106,000 from two or more employers.
