Toothless cat? what happened?

i've just discovered that my 15 year old cat has lost all her teeth, she had them a year ago, can they just fall out?????

    First of all, congratats on a 15 year old cat. Second, cats can get gum disease just like people. When you get a young cat you can try feeding Science Diet Oral Care. See the vet now to cure any remaining infection etc

    It's not unusual for old cats to lose all their teeth. The teeth and gums can rot and that causes the teeth to loosen up and fall out. I'm just a bit surprised you didn't notice earlier because cats often show symptoms such as drooling and excessively bad breath when their teeth start loosening up.
