Would any atheists NOT pose for playboy?

Excuse me for being naive, but i was wondering if there were any atheists that WOULDN'T pose for playboy or similar nude magazines (hypothetically pretending that Hugh Hefner made you a large offer)

I'm curious because i hear some Christians say that all atheists dont have morals etc,and i always thought no thats not true and individuals vary etc,but lately its seemed like to me that maybe the Christians were right because all the atheists i'm coming across seem to have the mindset that heaps of stuff/whatever is "nothing wrong with it" and permissible etc.

So please enlighten me,is there any atheist/s that wouldn't do this?

Ie:Are those types of decisions and morals dependant on belief in God or not always so?

When answering, please try to be 100% honest and objective and not trying to pretend or cover anything or answer how you "think i want to hear" etc.

Thanks

Update:

To Gis-not nudity itself being immoral, but nudity in the context of to cause lust being immoral.

Eg:a family stranded on a desert island beign nude wouldn't be immoral but Playboy immoral cause the context is to cause lust(and make money off lust) vs causing love/respect/humanity.

Update 2:

Connor-sexualitys definiately not immoral. Its natural and another aspect of humanity. Its just the context of lust/selling ones self that is immoral.

Update 3:

Oh,definiately there are immoral Christians too and you have to be on the lookout/alert.Its not either/or regardling Christian/atheist and theres a subsegment of "christians" that are hypocritical or "confused".

But i mean particularly if theres any atheist that wouldnt pose for nude magazines?

It seems that most just dont think its immoral.

Does that mean that ALL atheist's dont think its immoral and that they/you just think this is a "christian named" moral but you dont agree with it?

Thats the thing, the Christians call that "moral relativism".

So,basically they were right and i was being naive and there are no atheists who wouldn't pose(except for age or body insecurities) cause all think its not immoral?

I love it when religious people try to act as if non-believers don't have morals XD

Religion has been the biggest contributer to pain, death, opression, sufering, and evil in this world. The world would be a better, more rational, and more moral place without religion in my opinion.

I wouldn't. I have self respect. However I can't be too against pornography since I glady watch it and own some. If' I'm willing to view it, I can't exactly sit here and say no one should be able to willingly sell their bodies.

Also you are suggesting that porn or modeling is immoral... why? If someone wants to sell their body why is that any of your concern? and how can that be unethical or immoral? It's their body, they are an adult, they are fully consenting, and they are getting paid. If you don't want to do it, then don't. However to suggest someone else doing it is immoral is irrational. Religious people want to make everyone think sexuality is immoral or horrible. Which is one of the reasons why it's bad, not one of the reasons why it's good. If you watch porn... then you are being a hypocrit as well. If you view it, you can't be against people making it.

I don't need some book written by some random people to tell me what is right or wrong. Common sense pretty much takes care of that. So just because I don't believe doesn't mean I'm immoral, also just because I wouldn't pose for public pornography (I do private pornography for my fiance it's very fun) doesn't mean I'm a moral person either. I think you need a better dictionary to tell you what moral and immoral is.

Obviously if you are an educated person at all you would know that religion doesn't have to exist for people to be moral. I mean after all I'm an Athiest... so I believe God doesn't exist and a bunch of random people wrote a book and lied about it being the word of God, or that these people were highly delusional. So Obviously people created the bible without the influence of a God and if you think there is morality in the bible then obviously people are able to posess it without God existing. It's common sense human beings are capable or morality and ethics without religion. Look at our own government, our laws are not based on the bible.

EDIT: That's YOUR opinion, not something that is fact. Morality is highly relative. You think selling your body is immoral in a way that it's unethical (ethics are not relative) and that it's a fact that it's unethical and opinion has nothing to do with it. Opinion has everything to do with it. Porn might be immoral to you but it's not to everyone, even Christians. I know several Christians who watch porn and since most people in the world are Christians, statistically most people who have participated in the porn industry are Christian. Does that mean Christians are immoral? NO! and you have to be ignorant to suggest that, just like you are being ignorant by suggesting that all Athiests are immoral because a few did something you think is immoral. It's also very arrogant. Sorry but what you think is best for everyone isn't the set rule. You aren't using any form of logic or rationality behind your thinking. All you are doing is making chilish assertions that are OBVIOUSLY not true and then trying to put down an entire group of people based on what a few Athiests tell you.

Most people in the porn industry are religious... that should be common sense to you. Obviously that fact alone doesn't state that Christianity is an immoral religion. It reflects NOTHING on the religion at all. That's the bogus claim you are trying to make. You need to think your assertions through because none of your logic makes sense. Also if lust is immoral, every human being is immoral. I think we all have had a simple crush on someone or fantasies about someone. So to say lustfulness is immoral is again... childish.

Lumping people together as atheists is like lumping working people together and expecting them to have the same principles, attitudes and opinion.

Number 1: The largest number of people in prison per relgion per capita is about 90% Christian. The number of atheists is miniscule. Why do Christians fail so often?

I've known quite a few atheists, and they're not the nihilist atheists of the turn of the 20th century. Atheists school their children in humanist morality, not because God commanded these things to be.

There are only 2 branches in morality: Absolute and Relative. Each has its flaws. In the OT the law of God specifially orders a father to kill his disobedient son.We would regard this with horror today, because people have gained some wisdom along the way. Scientists stoutly maintain that nothing is absolute, but also that everything is relative. Murder is a terrible crime. But if I am attacked by four men in public, I might very well shoot them all. Now how bad is this? It's still bad, but it's not premeditated. The law recognizes that a just penalty is in relation to the severity of the crime. Therefore, even the law is relative.

I wouldn't be in Playboy because I have a penis. And it makes other guys at the gym uncomfortable when I tuck it between my legs and start singing 'Goodbye horses', so I can't imagine the guys who buy Playboy would find it any more arousing.

To answer your question seriously, I wouldn't. But simply because it doesn't appeal to me. I fail to understand why this would be considered 'wrong' taken out of a religious context, and put in a moral argument. If adults want to put themselves on display, because other adults want to see that sort of thing then I don't really see what the problem is. Sexual behaviour is a complected subject, but one of the basic principles of human nature is that we all want to see eachother naked. I fail to see what's wrong with satisfying that.

'i hear some Christians say that all atheists dont have morals etc'

These people cannot think rationally for themselves, and I'd encourage you to form your own opinions about atheists rather than taking ignorant assumptions as truth. When a christian says an atheist has no morals, they actually mean they don't share christian morals.

No, I wouldn't pose for any magazine. The magnificence of my physique is such that the rest of the world doesn't deserve to see it. lol

You hear from some Christians that all atheists don't have morals? Well, politicians mostly claim to be religious, and also clergy, and they're the ones who get caught in the most scandalous sexual antics........... Swaggart, Haggard, Baker, Jim Jones, the Catholic priest scandals, and the latest LDS splinter group---70+ wives? Many of whom were minors?

Look at the murders, hate and terrorism in the name of various gods/religions, and then try to tell me that atheists are immoral.

I don't see anything immoral about posing for playboy or any other porn. In terms of morality, Christian's repression of sex outside of marriage is the same as not eating types of food for "moral" reasons. i.e. there is nothing moral or immoral about either.

The point here is that most people do not really understand morality, that there are multiple moral systems and that most cultures have widely varying ones and just assume that their morality is the only one.

Yes. Most of them. However plenty of Christians have posed for Hef and even more Christians look at Playboy. And no, they aren't just reading the articles.

I wouldn't. I don't believe there is anything wrong with nudity, but it could hurt my reputation. What if I wanted to run for political office? Oh wait, I can't run for office in Texas. You MUST believe in a god to do that. Ok, where do I sign up?

it would depend on the amount offered (not that i expect an offer) it's not something i would want to do but if it was life changing amount i might do it.

i don't really see the moral issue here, why is nudity immoral?

I wouldn't. You should have asked me about 20 years ago, I would have answered "maybe"? I like to pretend I had more confidence and a smoking hot body when I was young.

No, I would not pose for Playboy, the thought of all those poor people having my phyigog thrust onto their eyes revolts me.
