    J'aime le fromage. But watch out, if you say that to a French, you better like brie, camembert and other real cheeses, not kraft singles and cheese whiz!!! It is not even close to be considered cheese by any European.

    The problem with "j'aime le fromage" is that it can also be translated as "I like cheese". "Liking" isn't as strong as "loving". "J'adore le fromage", literally "I adore cheese", conveys the stronger meaning better.
