Is the Catholic faith for everyone-even for "celebs" like Simon Cowell etc?
Hypothetically/pretend speaking,if someone like Simon Cowell(X Factor) wanted to become a Catholic, could they become one "as they were" and keep their personality?
Or if they wanted to become one would they have to change their whole personality and become more "serious" "pious" and "saint like" etc?
Can people become Catholics and still be themselves or is it not for everyone-only for certain "types".

Yes, the Catholic faith is for everyone. Even celebrities. Even individuals who are just plain lousy people. Any changes that need to be made in the person's behavior, speech or habits will be directed by the Holy Spirit. The Catholic Church is a "hospital for sinners," not an exclusive club for saints.

Catholic is a word that means Universal. So yes, it's for everyone. Including Simon.

Matthew 10:38 and whoever does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me.
39 Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
40 "Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.
We die in sin and are born again in Christ.
"There are not more than 100 people in the world who truly hate the Catholic Church, but there are millions who hate what they perceive to be the Catholic Church. ....As a matter of fact, if we Catholics believed all of the untruths and lies which were said against the Church, we probably would hate the Church a thousand times more than they do."

No personality change is required to be Catholic :)
People have to turn from sin, but they do not have to change their personalities.
