Do gerbils have different/seasonal coats?

So It's just now getting warmer from winter, and I've noticied my albino gerbil is starting to turn colors. (I'm guessing its albino. It's all white and has red eyes.) Since this is my first pair of gerbils I don't know much. She's turning from a white color, to more of a sandyish color, and she is shedding. Is this normal? Do gerbils turn colors?

Yes, they molt. All gerbils will change color for the first time at some point between 8 to 12 weeks old. It is just more noticeable in some colors than others. The following link explains:

Is there a community on the gerbil the place her coat is visibly lighter or darker than something of the coat that appears like a line? a lot of people do no longer understand this, yet gerbils incredibly molt. Their coat will look fairly tough in this timeframe and their colour will slowly exchange, too. (once I have been given my first gerbil he became right into a reddish colour... an identical colour as my canines... after his first molt, he became into extra of a pumpkin like colour and a lot lighter... stunned me until i found out they molt) Midge would be dealing with her first molt, wherein case, the only element you're able to do is look ahead to it to bypass. Pixie will bypass via a molting section, too. they're going to proceed to realize this sometimes throughout the time of their lives. After a together as, you get used to it. the ultimate element you're able to do to eliminate the scruffy visual attraction is purchase Chinchilla sand and grant it to them for sand baths. different than that, there is no longer a lot.
