is it best to use ethernet or wireless to connect blu ray to internet?

I have a Samsung blu ray sitting next to my comcast cable box. I have my blu ray connected to internet now thru my wireless router. Would ethernet connection thru comcast box be better option to connect blu ray to internet? (e.g. would it be faster for updates or streaming content such as MLB?)

I would go with Ethernet... but the previous answer was wrong, you can get wireless up to 540Mpbs and wired up to 10Gbps (although 1Gbps is the common max in home equipment).

    Hello David,

For sure using ethernet would be much faster. Wireless in theory could support up to 54 Mbps where as Ethernet could support up to 100 Mbit/s .. But if you just want to connect to a simple website or do an update once in a while wireless should be sufficient.

    Hope this helps
