If you are looking for a traditional 9 - 5 job you should treat looking for a job like a job - you have to work systematically on it 9 - 5. keeping record of who you spoke to. Diarise follow-ups and so on.

Looking for work is something else - though it is also a full time job, the purpose is not to get a full time job, but work. Work is where you contract out your time and effort to produce a particular outcome for your clients. It may even be you subcontracting out the activity to someone else. it is about earning money by employing your skilss and competencies. You may have to work harder than in a full time job, but you do have more flexibility and more independence. Try it - in stead of asking for the job, get the work!

You could be right in this economic crisis.

They also say it's easier to get a job once you're in one so maybe find something/anything that pay a little money and that way your mind is at ease to then go on a find a suitable job for yourself?

    All the best!

Maybe getting the job you desire.

Maybe. It's hard to get the job you desire and to keep it :) . I don't think that it's so hard to get/keep that job if you are working hard :)
