Hi Stephen here from new York. I have been sick for over 2 weeks with the Flu Virus. I have been only Urinating about 2 times a day at the most. Today I started to develop lower back pain. I just drunk 8 glasses of water about 30 Minitues ago and still only gone very little. about a teaspoon full. I have been drinking water and Gatoride every day for about 2 weeks now and Unirate about 2 times a day at most. Could it be kidney Stones as well. my pain in the Lower back is only about 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. I do not want to look like a fool when I call my doctor. Respond all what you thimk

You would know if you had a kidney stone - it is one of the most painful things a person can experience.

I have gotten the pain you describe in my lower back, and each time it turned out to be a kidney infection. Those are really nasty - go to the ER and get it taken care of (antibiotics).

May I suggest that you take it easy with the Gatorade? There is a great deal of salt and sugar in it that will not help you right now. Water is best.

Good luck Stephen frm New York.

Here is a natural remedy for getting rid of your kidney stones: first, drink 72 ounces (about a 2-liter bottle's worth) of a common beverage. Within 5 minutes of drinking the beverage, you will then eat 8 ounces of a particular green vegetable that has been cooked and put in a blender.

The beverage rushes right to your kidneys and urinary tract, causing a painless chemical reaction that will almost "magically" begin to dissolve your kidney stones. Remember in Chemistry class how you'd mix two chemicals together and they'd start to react? Same concept here.

Your kidney stones will turn from stones into sludge. If your kidney stone is less than 5mm, the entire stone will probably dissolve within 3 to 4 hours. If your stone is bigger than 5mm, it will probably take a bit longer.

The vegetable puree is used to flush out the small, sludge-like kidney stone remnants after it has dissolved. The "sludge" will pass through your urine without pain!

The 2 ingredients that you'll need are very easy to get a hold of. Both the beverage and the vegetable can be easily found at your local grocery store for less than US $10. These items are available worldwide.

A kidney stone may or may not cause signs and symptoms until it has moved into the ureter — the tube connecting the kidney and bladder. At that point, these signs and symptoms may occur:

■Severe pain in the side and back, below the ribs

■Pain that spreads to the lower abdomen and groin

    ■Pain on urination

    ■Pink, red or brown urine

    ■Nausea and vomiting

    ■Persistent urge to urinate

■Fever and chills if an infection is present

    When to see a doctor

Make an appointment with your doctor if you have any signs and symptoms that worry you.

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience:

■Pain so severe that you can't sit still or find a comfortable position

■Pain accompanied by nausea and vomiting

■Pain accompanied by fever and chills

I got this from the website http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/kidney-stones/DS0...

    Hope it Helps!!

Stones are really really painful. Flu like sypmtoms, urination problems and lower back pain can all be symptoms of kidney infection.

If you think you have a kidney infection there are some helpful questions at http://www.kidneybackpain.org/ to help you determine the difference between kidney infection and back pain.

    Good luck!

I have had three kidney stones ago three years. The first one was once nine mm, moment 7mm, and my "little" one was once 6 mm. Two had been handed inside the identical month in December 2004, the final one July 2007. I was once pregnant for the primary two of them, and my healthcare professional did an MRI after the primary one despite the fact that I was once pregnant considering we suggestion I will have had a blockage (I was once no longer competent to pee at interested by a whilst). He noticed the two in my kidney after I handed the primary so I was once no longer blocked, and handed the two later ones on my possess as good. But I now have a prescript bottle of codeine only for those completely satisfied situations! So besides, my healthcare professional did an MRI, no longer an X ray. I suggestion you might most effective have surgical procedure if you happen to had a blockage, so much cross with out surgical procedure I suggestion? Good good fortune!!

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.
