My PC cooling fan goes on high every few seconds. What causes this and how do I correct or fix it?

This happens on gaming sites even more,I guess it is the demand it puts on my system,so what can I do to correct this, because I don't think this is normal for this to occur?

Update:

It was very quiet until about a month ago and it started doing the noisy high fan sounds every few seconds, that's why I thought it was something new and unusual.

The speed of the fan is controlled by the motherboard. When the board senses that the CPU is to hot it speeds up the fan. The better the cooling heat sink works the less the fan will speed up. If the heat sink is dirty and clogged with dust it can not cool the CPU correctly and the fan will run fast in an attempt to alleviate the problem. So make sure that the heat sink is clean.

Your fan needs replaced yet a short-term fix to payday is cleansing it. i'm guessing you haven't any longer executed this so making use of canned air, you would be fortunate to even push around caked on dirt. yet there is stable information. once you're taking it aside to scrub your fan and use canned air on your warmth sink (grill finding thingy) you have gotten adventure at changing your fan your self! computers have followers on the photographs card, cpu, and interior the tower. ensure you replace the final one. you mustn't ought to get rid of the warmth sink to do this yet verify your pc has had time to relax off besides.

Fans running is a good thing. A fan not running is bad. Pc's in generally are pretty noisy buggers.

If it is noisey, could be going bad.

Well, it's probably happening because your temperature in your case or on your parts is getting too hot, so the fans automatically kick on high gear. I wouldn't try to stop it, it's probably doing it's job correctly.
