Nickelback's 2nd chord wrong in "Figured You Out"?

Does anyone think that the 2nd (gutiar) chord in Nickelback's song, "Figured You Out" is wrong? To my ear, it doesn't match with the melody at all.

Update:

Thank you for all your answers:

However, just because an musical artist is popular, it doesn't mean they're musically intelligent. Many bands (eg: U2) get by on just 3 chords!!!

You will find most 'talented' guitarists don't use 'standard' chords (majors, minors, and 5th forms) in their music, and so... I think when Nickelback wrote their melody, and got their guitarist to match it to chords, that's the best configuration they can come up with.

To my ear... the 2nd chord is correct for the begining of the 3rd lyric sentence, but it is wrong for the ending note for the 2nd lyric sentence.

It's a pretty standard chord progression in rock music. But it may sound unusual to you because he's playing it an octave lower than you'd usually hear it (inverted).

Everything Nickelback plays sounds "wrong" to me... because they're terrible.

I'm surprised that somebody who willingly listens to Nickelback can recognize something as sounding bad.

Nope, it is correct. Do really think he would have recorded it if it was wrong? It doesn't even sound wrong, to be honest.

Hm, it seems right to me? It doesn't sound off or anything.
