MedStart at Wayne State University?

Anyone applying to wayne state's medstart program this year? What about anyone who has been previously accepted...would you be willing to share any stats? I am applying this year and I REALLY want to get in, so any information would be helpful. Is the first cut really based on academics (ACT and GPA meet minimum req's but lower than what other people might have).
