Has anyone had problems with DELL computers?
Just wondering.. the support program supplied on mine is only applicable if you live in africa, The Middle East or Britian. The fault my 6 month old insperon has is overheating. They tried to fix it before.. a factory reset. lost the memory of vital docs...Now they want me to package and post it 2000km at my expense to have it looked at when i come from a city of 150,000 and tech shops everywhere.Is this normal

Open your computer and clean out the dust... Getting the computer to factory settings is not going fix your overheating problems.

It's tough to get Dell hardware support when you're in remote areas in the world. The best you can do is call and ask what are the possibilities of getting it fixed and what the limits of the warranty are.
As for overheating, it could be clogged fan? If you have some amateur skills with electronics you can open it up and see what's going on.

Yes I have had my Dell for less then a year and my battery burnt out I'm on my third charger and it freezes on me sometimes yet I have no viruses. I should have listened to my instinct and got a MAC or Hp and not listened to my hubby lol.Be careful with their on call support! I called to extend my warranty and a lady wanted to charge me 300 bucks , I called again talked to someone else and only paid 88 bucks. They try to get you with all kinds of funds because the employees work on commission. I now get everything replaced for free for a year if anything goes wrong...sure worth the 88 bucks but at the 300 that I would have paid I could have just got a whole new computer.
