Which of these Frank McCourt books is the best?

I have to pick one of them to read, and I looked them up on Wikipedia but all sound pretty bad.

So:

Angela's Ashes

Tis

Teacher Man

Which one and why?

Angela's Ashes. Just as the other user mentioned, it's a brilliantly crafted memoir explaining the life and hardships that were faced by Frank and his peers. But be warned, the book makes little grammatical sense, as there are often run on sentences and an interesting vernacular. However, you'd soon realize that that 'language' is the mode of normal considering the settings. Despite the grammar, the book is totally worth it. I was sad when I finished it (doesn't happen often :P ). Plus, 'Tis is the second installment of Frank's life, and it would make much more sense to read AA first. It all depends on your personal preference, if you like memoirs and non-fiction, than this is the right book for you.

Good luck, I'm curious to hear what you think once you read one of them.

Angela's Ashes is brilliant, pretty intense but hard to put down.

Finished Teacher Man recently, it's more light hearted and very very interesting. Depends on what kind of thing you like, if you want more gritty then go for Angela's Ashes.

I've read them all and enjoyed A.A's and Tis most. Angela's Ashes is one of my favorite books. The book is sad and funny both.
