how to stop stray tomcats spraying?
I have a stray tom coming to both my front and back doors and spraying the doors, as a result people are carrying it into the house on there feet.
Is there something I can spray around my verandah's to stop the cat?
Australian products only please.
Cat is a stray so runs off when anyone approaches
Pretty hard to catch and desex a feral!.

Cats hate apple cider vinegar, they don't like super soaker water guns either. Cats don't like getting wet with flea sprays, bleaches, strong ammonia's. Just clean your doors off with bleach or apple cider vingar or a ammonia. Either buy a big water gun. Couple times with that will cure them from comign back for more.
Get a mean little yapping dog they hate those. My cats can;t stand yokes, taco bell dogs, miniature any kinda dogs.

Cats HATE the smell of citrus.
Buy a product that contains mainly citrus and spray it all over your house.
The Tomcats will probably hate the smell and walk away and spray somewhere else.

male cats spray to mark their territory. you really cant stop them 100%. He is leaving messages for other cats, or simply relieving stress. If he wants to spray, he (or she) will spray. the best approach is to get the cat neutered, and even then 13% of cats continue to spray.

Hmm. i've read that cats don't like the smell of oranges/lemons... maybe you could try something like that?
