Run sound output directly into phone?

Here's what I want to do, I want to run the audio out of my computer directly to the phone bypassing the mic in the phone. Will this work by just using a mono output and just wiring the output right to the mic wiring in the phone? The reason I ask is because I have some voice changing software and I want to prank some of my friends.

Update:

Actually I'm pretty sure it's possible, it's just a matter of the levels. When you talk into the phone the microphone generates an audio signal, I'd just be removing the mic and feeding the audio signal directly. The problem I'm thinking I will have is the level of the input from the computer, to high and I will end up damaging the phone. I guess I could just call my cell and start at 0 working my way up until I got to a good level. Anyhow it's on hold till I find a old wired phone, cause I'm not ripping apart my wireless handset.

yeah this is not really possible... you PROBABLY have to use the Mic. if you could do it it would probably quite complicated involving a fair amount of software or some quite special feature on your phone.

confident, you are able to. yet i would not connect it to the sound gadget. connect it to a separate amp and speaker. you're able to do what you stated. discover the detector's speaker twine, connect it to an rca, mono out the amp or mono out the rca, and connect a speaker. I even have achieved it till now. it incredibly works positive. good success.
