Was the moon landing faked?

    No.

Simple logic: It doesn't really matter if you say it was faked, or you say it wasn't. What matters is the how. How was it done? Or how was it faked? Does the how it was done explain what you see? Was that how possible that that time (important argument in history. The Egyptians didn't have a Skycrane helicopter and Columbus had no GPS).

Lets look at what you want to test: NASA claims they landed 6 times on the moon (not just THE moon landing, there had been more), and flew around the moon 3 times more. They have their own evidence in the world, additionally there is a lot of evidence from other witnesses, like radio observatories and amateur astronomers, who followed the missions with their telescopes.

I say it wasn't faked. And I can pull a few Gigabytes of technical documentation, which describes how NASA claims they did it. Then I can test this - does a rate gyro assembly work? Can you build a AGC and make it behave that way NASA claims? Can a rocket engine work and can it deliver the needed thrust and specific impulse for doing it's share of the mission? Eventually you will find out, that all that you see in videos, photographs, museums and films is fitting to the technology.

Can you do the same with the fake explanation? Really? Can you produce the same shadows as in the NASA photographs with multiple light sources, like a badly placed studio light? Try it, you don't need that much, a scale model would already work since the optical laws scale pretty good. Mythbusters reproduced the shadows with a single light source and a uneven terrain - and confirmed that NASA's explanation of the shadows was right and it was really just the sun.

And excuse my French, but I don't give a damn on endless talking about what is logical. It was absolutely logical to Aristotle that women have less teeth than men and he was able to deliver a long argument why it was so. What he didn't do was counting the teeth - if he would have done this simple fact checking, he would have discovered that is logic was not just wrong, but also based actually on wrong assumptions. The same applies in my tiny world to arguments about conspiracy theories. It doesn't matter what you say, it matters what you do.

You don't need to land on the moon for showing that NASA did land on the moon - first of all, this wouldn't apply to NASA, but show that you can do it with currently available technology. Second, this is just the place where the stuff is put together - you can already test many things with a simple experiment at home. Like the shadows. Even the crater claim can be tested (with a homemade vacuum chamber, which is easier done as it sounds)...the radiation belt stuff would be harder, unless you have a small particle accelerator in your basement.

The moon landing, singular? There were SIX moon lnadings, not just one, plus two lunar orbit missions, a lunar flyby and two Earth orbit test flights. It was all very real, and no-one has yet managed to propose a sensible way it even COULD have been faked.

Really dumb people will believe anything.

I, for example, am fabulously wealthy and my stunning good looks makes me the envy of everyone I meet.

The Moon landings were some of the most well documented events in human history.

It's unlikely they could be faked.

No, it was very real. All the conspiracy theories that "prove" the moon landing was a hoax have been debunked.

No it is not. If it was faked then how are we able to send spacecraft to explore the dimensions of outerspace?

No, it was not faked. Any theory that it was faked that you post here would be easily debunked, so don't even bother.

No. There was too many people involved (400,000) for it to be fake. One swipe of Occams razor is enough for this.

  • 1 decade ago

No,way too much data and human involvement to be staged.

Anyone who thinks it was is ignoring an incredible amount of evidence.
