Are all guys this insecure?

People always make guys and girls seem a bit more different then they really are. I'm always worried about my appearance but never so much where I have to take a long time to get ready (no offense girls do more then guys do) but still just as sensitive about my appearance as any other girl but maybe not as emotional.

well, i think all guys care that much, but some are just more comfortable with themselves. it sounds like you should take a break from the self conscious type and get a really confident guy. sometimes being around confident people can even get you feeling a little bit better about yourself (:

Well maybe you should stop giving them that answer. Just say something that changes the question, or say something funny. And not all guys. It could be because they feel insecure. Or they just want advice from girls to see if their hot or not. Just do what I said above. Good luck!

yeah a lot of em do the better they look the worse they can make people feel really takes away how they feel about their own problems maybe when you live most will follow what people do so not every guy is but alot of em are the ones that aren't usually get cocky

alot of guys aren't this insecure but it sounds like he's had a hard time in the past and no one ever bothered to tell him how valuable and important he truly in. just tell him the truth and make sure he knows you care. that's all you can do. good luck :)

Well... I never really ask girls how I look to them. I think it'd be kind of an awkward question to ask. And of course they're gonna say, "Oh you're good looking," just so they don't hurt your feelings...

But I mean I guess as long as you make it clear that you're aren't interested in the girl and you're just curious, I guess that's cool.

Maybe he wants to know what you think of him...if he's your type or what characteristics catch your eye. Its almost like how girls ask how their hair looks, or when i ask my bf if he thinks i put on too much makeup. then again, if you answer him honestly and he ignores you or your opinion, then he only wanted some sort of validation and you were'nt saying what they wanted to hear....in that case, he didnt really care what you thought, he just wanted you to notice.

Fishing for a compliment. Don't you ever do that? Try to say you like something about them before they ask (even if it is a lie). Everyone likes to feel good about them self.

Only the slightly to fully self-centered guys do that. Just keep on doing you.
