What are your Las Vegas hotel recommendations?

I'll be staying in Las Vegas in a couple of weeks. This is my first time there, so I want to make sure I have a good experience. My friend's have told me about hotels like the Venetian, Wynn, Bellagio, Paris or Caesars, but I'm still stuck on deciding.

Disregarding price, which hotel offers the best amenities and location? And since the hotel is not included in my budget, which ones do offer some budget-friendly options cuisine-wise (e.g. low-cost buffets, shows, etc).

Are there any good hotels that have in-suite fridges?

Thanks in advance!

The Venetian, Bellagio and Wynn in that order as are my choices. Venetian because all the rooms are actually suites and the location is excellent, Bellagio because it is all high end and the location is also excellent finally Wynn which is equally high end but the location is not as good.

    -Good Luck!

Any 4 star hotel on the central Vegas strip will be fine. What you have to remember is that the strip is 3 1/2 miles long. The best hotels are 4 Seasons, Wynn, Trump, Bellagio, Palazzo/Venetian. There are upscale options at most hotels such as TheHotel at Mandalay Bay and Signature Suites at MGM, as well as suite options in all hotels. If I were to suggest a single hotel in Vegas it would be MGM because of it's size and 17 theme restaurants. Mostly, however, I recommend it for the access to the Monorail system which runs the length from MGM to Sahara with several stops along the center strip. If you get a room near the elevator it saves allot of steps as this is a massive hotel.

Treasure Island, Mirage, Caesars all are very good. Best over all location would be Caesars or Bellagio for center strip, but still you have to hike around allot because some of these hotels are a mile apart and occupy acres and acres of foot print.

Just make it a hotel between MGM and Venetian (No further north or south) and research your trip.

    I highly recommend Encore. http://hubpages.com/hub/Encore-Las-Vegas

I've visited Las Vegas 18 times and Encore is my favorite place to stay so far. Although I haven't stayed in all the nice places... I've been a guest at Venetian twice, Paris once, Mandalay Bay once, and a bunch of less expensive properties.

All the "nice" places have pre-stocked fridges full of beer, wine, champagne, and soft drinks they want to sell you at very high prices. You can't use those fridges for storage. You can request an extra fridge though, usually for an extra fee.

Condo style properties like the Jockey Club (next to Bellagio) and Trump have full kitchens with empty refrigerators.

Trump looks just as nice as Wynn and all the other luxury properties but the rates are lower because they're not right on Las Vegas Blvd.

Anyway... I recommend Encore, which although it's not center strip is in a good location close to the center strip. It's just a short walk past Wynn and the Venetian. For low cost eating you can go across the street to the food court at Fashion Show Mall or the Zazzoo Crackers deli in Wynn... and just about every hotel has food courts and low cost casual dining delis and restaurants. Keep in mind however that on the strip, $10 for a sandwich and drink is considered cheap.

OK you should aim for the best deal because you won't spend that much time in the hotel room.

Places like Venetian, Wynn, etc., are five-star and more expensive. IF you want to stay on Strip look at Monte Carlo, Excalibur, Circus Circus, Riveria, Tropicana, or Sahara.

All most all casinos have buffets but the prices vary and five-star are $$. The shows are all about the same price.

No "good" hotels, they are all good, have in-suite fridges unless it is actually a suite. They want you to use room service or go downstairs to a restaurant.

Since you don't have a hote budget, go to www.lasvegasnow.com which is TV8 web site and lots of linkss.

The Monte Carlo, Mirage and Treasure Island are all pretty nice properties with lots of ammenities, not to mention at affordable rates. All have great food, nice pools, little shops and are at great locations. Parking is also plentiful.

You cannot go wrong with most hotels located on the Blvd. - Personally I recommend Mirage, MGM Grand, Monte Carlo or Treasure Island. Check http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com/ before you book, it has the latest hotel promo codes available for these and other hotels, this can save money. Hope this helps.
