Pandas are not really bears, they are more closely related to the raccoon. They are called 'bears' because they look a little like bears, just as koalas are called bears but aren't really bears.

REAL bears are omnivores, they eat both animals and plants. But pandas are only herbivores, they eat only a certain kind of bamboo. So they are not really equipped to fight. They have only defensive weapons. So I seriously doubt one would attack you if you wandered into its territory, as a bear might.

A panda is a pretty big animal and probably very strong compared to a person. He could do some serious damage in a fight, just rolling over you or batting you with a paw. But he would much rather just get away from you.

Pandas aren't considered to be bears, they are a seperate order along with the red panda...lets face it no other bear lives off trees like a panda!!!

Yeah they can get aggressive, most of the time they just cba to do anything since bamboos are so low in energy, but search for panda attacks in youtube and you should see pandas grabbing tourists and things

yes so cute most people forget they are bears which leads to people doing stuff like trying to climb the zoo fence to give them a hug which they wouldn't do with a brown bear or black bear

Any wild animal has its natural instincs. And even if you train them to do things the way you would with like a dog or something they could still turn on you any second.
